Here is a set of blade bumpers with guards. These bumpers were standard on cars shipped to the US and built between 1953 and mid 55. Of course, these were also available on cars destined for Europe much later. I am not sure if the bumpers are originals, but I believe they are. They were on my 51 split when I bought it, which I switched out for correct split bumpers. The original owner of my car said he got the bumpers from a VW dealer in the early 80's. I believe him, because the matching bumper guards with the VW Stamp inside them (see pictures). The bumpers are in decent shape. They are straight, with decent chrome. There is some surface rust inside the bumper and a few small light spots on the chrome - but not bad! The biggest problem with them is the guards were mounted on the wrong spot - so the chrome isnt too good underneath (see pics). I am accepting offers.
